Homework for the week of Nov. 29 - Dec. 3

Monday (11/29) No homework.

Tuesday (11/30) No homework. We are finishing a scavenger hunt on facts about the layers of the atmosphere in class. As students complete their fact gathering, they will form teams to work at various model building stations on the atmosphere.

Wednesday (12/1) No homework. Two of the three stations are up and running as groups of students begin to create and explore models on various aspects of Earth's atmosphere.

Thursday (12/2) All three stations (each has a duplicate station) are up and running.

Friday (12/3) Begin working on Station 3 independently. The links to the websites can be found on the right side of the blog. The corresponding handout for the Astroventure can be found under class handouts. The handout for the Atmosphere will be uploaded this weekend. Questions are taken from the website astroventure.arc.nasa.gov.

Monday(11/22)- Complete missing assignments for "Catch-Up Day." All missing work is due 11/29 (Monday)

Tuesday(11/23)- All missing work is due Mon, 11/29. Students who have no missing work have no homework.

Homework for the week on Nov. 15 - 19

Monday (11/15) No homework.

Tuesday (11/16) Soil-Water Temperature Graph due Wednesday, 11/17. (Moved to Wednesday).

Wednesday (11/17) Students in periods 7-9 completed the lab five minutes before the before the end of class with just enough time to clean up, but with no time to discuss the homework they would have tonight. As a result, these classes will do their graphs in class tomorrow so that we can have an opportunity to discuss observations, receive instruction on how to: construct the graph, and cover expectations for the graphs. Periods 1 and 2 have completed the lab with some discussion and will create their graphs at home. Their graphs are due Thursday, 11/18.

Thursday (11/18) Read supplement on Characteristics of the Atmosphere. Answer the corresponding comprehension questions. Due Friday, 11/19.

Friday (11/19) Read supplement on Heating the Atmosphere. Answer the corresponding comprehension questions. Due Monday, 11/22.

Homework for the week of Nov. 1-4

Monday (11/1) - Read pages 6-11, How Scientists Study Earth and A View From Space. Answer the corresponding comprehension questions. Due Tues., 11/2. Bring a 2 liter soda bottle to class on Tues., 11/2. Students that do not bring their bottles will not be able to participate in the next lab activity.

Tuesday (11/2) - Two liter bottles are due today. Re-test is next Monday, 11/8.

Wednesday (11/3) - Read pages 18-25, What is a Vortex and That's a Fact. Answer the corresponding comprehension questions. Due Thurs., 11/4. Study for a the retest on Mon., 11/8.

Thursday (11/4) - Study for Monday's retest - 11/8.

Friday (11/5) - Study over the weekend for Monday's retest - 11/8.
